The Jeep Grand Cherokee has always been a solid performer in the mid-size SUV segment. However, many of its competitors have expanded to three rows, grabbing attention and buyers who want the ability to haul more people, more cargo, or both.

What to Expect?

With the debut of the Grand Cherokee L, Jeep sets the bar even higher for the mid-size SUV class. It continues its tradition of providing true off-road readiness in a vehicle that is also built for highway and around-town driving.

The all-new Grand Cherokee L was designed to exceed expectations, and that is exactly what it does. More capable and adventure-ready than ever before, there is no shortage of interest in this highly capable vehicle.

Models and Pricing

The 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L lineup features models that are ready to perform.

• Limited – $59,995

• Overland – $68,995

• Summit – $74,495

• Summit Reserve – $78,490

The Limited model offers standard features such as Capri leather-faced seats that are heated for the first and second rows, Quadra-Trac I 4×4 system, off-road information pages, power liftgate, and a remote start system.

Performance
At the onset of sales, Jeep will only offer one engine option on the Grand Cherokee L: the 3.6-litre Pentastar V6. It will deliver 290 horsepower, 257 lb-ft of torque, and up to 1,812 kg of towing capability.

Eventually, the vehicle’s Overland and Summit models will have the option to be equipped with a 5.7-litre V8 VVT engine. Drivers that want true power and capability should choose this engine, which provides 357 horsepower, 390 lb-ft of torque, and up to 3,265 kg of towing.
The 2021 Grand Cherokee L is highly versatile and can be equipped with three different 4×4 systems for drivers focusing on city streets, off-road trails, or anything in between. There is also an available water-fording capability to push the Grand Cherokee L through water up to 60 cm high.

Safety
For the all-new Grand Cherokee L, Jeep brings an all-new suite of standard driver-assist technologies, including automated emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and blind-spot monitoring.
Even more features are available to add, as Jeep offers over 110 safety and security features on the Grand Cherokee L. Optional features include drowsy driver detection to help drivers stay alert at the wheel, active driving assist, a night vision camera, intersection collision assist, and more.

Design

Jeep offers its grandest interior yet on the 2021 Grand Cherokee L, including available 16-way adjustable front seats, quilted Nappa leather seating, four-zone automatic temperature control, multi-colour ambient LED lighting, and more. Outside, the vehicle builds upon its legendary history with unparalleled refinement and uncompromising craftsmanship.
The 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L receives rave reviews thanks to a new lightweight chassis, increased aluminum frame, and dedication to quality. Three rows in an SUV never looked so good.
